Apple reveals new MacBooks!

   This morning, Apple had one of its famous Keynotes. Apple revealed several new MacBooks (they’re listed below)

   The announced configurations for the new line are:

  • MacBook $1299: 13.3″ Display, 2.0 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo/3MB L2, 2GB DDR3, 160 GB, SuperDrive, NVIDIA GeForce 9400M
  • MacBook $1599: 13.3″ Display, 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo/3MB L2, 2GB DDR3, 250 GB, SuperDrive, NVIDIA GeForce 9400M, Backlit Keyboard
  • MacBook Air $1799: 13.3″ Display, 1.6 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo/6MB L2, 2GB DDR3, 120 GB SATA, NVIDIA GeForce 9400M
  • MacBook Air $2499: 13.3″ Display, 1.86 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo/6MB L2, 2GB DDR3, 128 GB SSD, NVIDIA GeForce 9400M
  • MacBook Pro $1999: 15.4″ Display, 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo/3MB L2, 2GB DDR3, 250GB drive, SuperDrive, NVIDIA GeForce 9400M, 9600M GT/256MB
  • MacBook Pro $2499: 15.4″ Display, 2.53 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo/6MB L2, 4GB DDR3, 320GB drive, SuperDrive, NVIDIA GeForce 9400M, 9600M GT/512MB

   17″ MacBook Pros are on their way but were not introduced this morning. The previous generation white plastic MacBooks (”the best selling Mac ever”) have been reduced in price and now start at $999.

New Macbooks Next Tuesday (Oct. 14th)!!!

Hey just some quick news for you guys.  Engadget and other tech sites have gotten an invitation from Apple to a notebook Conference on October 14th, 2008.  Many rumors are  circulating, including a new manufacturing process called ‘brick’ and blu-ray support! We’ll try to keep you updated!

Apple Releases iTunes 8.0.1

   Apple has released iTunes 8.0.1, which fixes quiet a few bugs and stability issues in the 8.0 iTunes. iTunes 8.0.1 claims to:

• Seamlessly plays the current song when creating a new Genius playlist.
• Improves syncing spoken menus to iPod nano.
• Addresses an issue of deleting HD TV episodes when downloading.
• Improves checking for updates from the App Store
• Improves accessibility with VoiceOver.
• Addresses problems syncing Genius results to iPod.

   Let’s hope it does all that!
