Wikipanion Plus Review

September21

Wikipanion Plus

So, I have gotten Wikipanion Plus from the developer Robert Chin, early. Wikipanion Plus really shows what a skilled developer can do. Wikipanion Plus is Robert Chin’s second iPhone application. Robert submitted Wikipanion Plus to Apple last Sunday, so it should be up soon! Here is the description Robert Chin gives of Wikipanion Plus:

The best gets better! Enhance your Wikipedia browsing by turning on the new queue mode, where every link you click on gets added to a queue, so you can continue your reading of the current page. At any time you can visit pages in your queue, and they are automatically removed when visited. (see the web site for a description with pictures).

Also includes other features for the dedicated Wikipedia user, including bookmarks and history browsing. Additionally Wikipanion Plus has the ability to open up the current page in Safari, or to e-mail a link to the current page.

Wikipanion Plus does an even better job at bringing Wikipedia to the iPhone than iWik and Wikipanion. Though, I’d only recommend Wikipanion Plus to you if you’re a hardcore Wikipedia user. If you’re not, you should just pick up Wikipanion from the App Store. Wikipanion Plus’s User Interface is greatly polished and simple. Something I wish a lot of the other apps in the App Store would do. Wikipanion Plus makes full use of the iPhone’s 3.5 beautiful 3.5 inch touch screen, and accelerometer for changing into landscape mode automatically. Robert Chin did another great job with Wikipanion Plus! You cannot currently purchase Wikipanion Plus in the App Store. It will be released soon, and will be available for $4.99. Overall, HawtApps has rated Robert Chin’s Wikipanion Plus an awesome 9/10!
